Casa Hispana is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Carlos Salazar, Ph.D., as the new Executive Director, February 12, 2024. Dr. Salazar brings a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to the Hispanic/Latinx community, making him the ideal leader to drive Casa Hispana’s mission and vision forward.
The Casa Hispana Search and Screen Committee, after conducting two rounds of interviews with highly qualified candidates, recommended Dr. Carlos Salazar for the position of Executive Director. His remarkable dedication to serving the Hispanic/Latinx community and his impressive skill set were key factors in this decision.
Carlos has experience working with community members of all ages and shared his plan for “…encouraging our community to dream big and achieve.” He is passionate about building relationships and serving the local community in the areas of education, healthcare, and housing.
In his free time, he enjoys jogging, Dodger baseball, and spending time with his wife and two children.
