Dear Guidance Counselor, Educator, or Friend:

Please post or distribute this notice to graduating high school or enrolled college level students within your practice. Thank you for your help!

Casa Hispana is a certified not-for-profit community development corporation in the State of Wisconsin. We were founded in 2006, and we operate a bilingual center at the Goodwill offices in Menasha to provide information, referrals, support, and advocacy to area Hispanics. Casa Hispana sponsors programs and events to advance the economic, social, and cultural position of the Hispanic/Latino community in the Fox Valley and surrounding communities. The most important of these is our Casa Hispana Scholarship Program which has awarded over $79,000 to 120 talented Hispanic students. We will award at least (eight) $500 or larger scholarships in April of 2016.

In 1992 some members of United Migrant Opportunities Services (UMOS) Appleton-Regional Council began an scholarship program for Hispanic/Latino Youth in the Fox Valley Area. This evolved to Latino Link, Inc., a non-profit organization that continued the scholarship program started by UMOS. As the years went by, the Hispanic/Latino population also continued to grow in the Fox Valley Area. This new population had and still has needs that go beyond just scholarships. So it was time to expand the scope of the organization. Casa Hispana was born.

Casa Hispana was established in 2006 as a certified 501(c) 3 not-for-profit community development corporation in the State of Wisconsin. Founded for the purpose of developing and implementing economic development initiatives that would positively contribute to the quality of life for Hispanics/Latinos in the Fox valley, we utilize various resources and tools that allow the organization to serve as a catalyst for change within the Latino community.

While Casa Hispana services he Fox Cities, a majority of our clients continually come from other parts of northeastern Wisconsin, these areas are undergoing significant demographic changes.
